Protuberant ear (jug-ear) operation
Eyelid Operation
Description: The skin, muscles and fat in your upper and lower eyelids are operated
to make your eyes look younger and more healthy.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 3 or 4 days
Period of hospitalization: None
Duration of the operation: 1 to 2 hours
Anesthesia: Local, sedative local, or general anesthesia
Recuperation period: Swellings disappear in 5 to 7 days. You can go back to work
in 7 days.
Frequency of treatment: Once in most cases
Risks: Infection, dysfunction of eyelids, asymmetry, anesthesia-based complications.
Permanency of the results: The results will be permanent. However, life style, aging
and gravity will have an impact on the results.
Technique employed: We usually employ the fat distribution technique which means
spreading the pockets under your eyes across your cheek to remove the skeletal rings.
If the pockets under your eyes have extremely swollen, we remove the pockets. The
method of reinforcing the wall of the lower eyelid might be preferred for younger
patients.
The upper eyelid is operated with reference to the position of the eyebrow. Depending
on the patient’s demand, excess fat, muscle or skin is removed from the upper eyelid.
The scar for this operation is hidden in the curve of the upper eyelid. If necessary,
an endoscopic eyebrow lift operation is performed to rejuvenate the upper eyelid.
Nose Operation
Description: The dimensions, angles, curves and ratios of the nose are changed in
such a manner to reshape the nose. It can also be performed on the slopes and tip
of the nose. This operation can include solving of functional respiratory tract
problems (such as deviation, clogging, sinusitis, etc.).
Period of stay in Istanbul: 5 or 6 days
Period of hospitalization: 0 or 1 day
Duration of the operation: 1 to 3 hours
Anesthesia: Sedative local anesthesia or general anesthesia
Recuperation period: 6 days in average
Frequency of treatment: Once in most cases
Risks: Infection, bleeding, breathing problems, asymmetry, unsatisfactory result,
anesthesia-based complications.
Permanency of the results: The results will be permanent.
Technique employed: The open operation technique for bending, ratio problems, drooping,
small nose or large nose. The closed technique for other smaller problems.
Endoscopic (scarless) midface lifting operation
Description: Endoscopic surgical operation performed by entering the hair-covered
skin, underside of the eye and/or from inside the mouth, using a camera, and lifting
the drooping facial muscles and tissues on the forehead, eyebrows, temples, midface
and corners of the mouth. Thus the midface is restored to natural/youthful appearance
and is lifted. This operation can be performed in combination with aesthetic eyelid
operation, injection of fat and/or peeling.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 3 or 4 days
Period of hospitalization: 0 or 1 day
Duration of the operation: 2 to 3 hours
Anesthesia: General
Recuperation period: Patient can go back to work in 10 days; edema and swellings
can last up to three weeks.
Frequency of treatment: Once in general
Risks: Damaging of a nerve, bleeding, asymmetry, change to the hairline, anesthesia-based
complications
Permanency of the results: The results will be permanent. The aging process will
restart from the age you were restored back to. (For example, if you had a twin
brother or sister, you would look 7 to 10 years younger than him/her after this
operation).
Technique employed: We usually employ the endoscopic subperiosteal (i.e. bone level)
technique. A small cut is incised from inside the hair, underside of the eye or
rarely from inside the mouth, and a thin cannula equipped with a light source and
camera is inserted through said cut, so that it is performed as a close operation
without cutting the skin open. Since the scar of this operation is hidden in an
invisible location, it is called scarless face lift. Since this operation rejuvenates
at the bone level and provides three-dimensional rejuvenation, it is superior than
such other techniques as skin lifting and muscle folding techniques which yield
to impermanent and artificial results.
Endoscopic (scarless) eyebrow and forehead lifting operation
Description: This surgical operation provides a younger and more lively appearance
and makes the upper part of the face look younger.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 1 to 3 days
Period of hospitalization: 0 or 1 day
Duration of the operation: 1 to 2 hours
Anesthesia: Sedative local anesthesia or general anesthesia
Recuperation period: 7 to 10 days
Frequency of treatment: Once in general
Risks: Damaging of a nerve, infection, bleeding, irregular healing of the scar,
change to the hairline, asymmetry, anesthesia-based complications.
Permanency of the results: The results will last long, but they are subject to the
effects of the aging process.
Technique employed: We usually employ the endoscopic subperiosteal technique. A
small cut is incised from inside the hair and a thin cannula equipped with a light
source and camera is inserted through said cut, so that it is performed as a close
operation without cutting the skin open. The cut is 1 cm long inside the hair, therefore
this operation is also called scarless eyebrow and forehead lift. Unlike the other
techniques lifting the skin, providing an artificial appearance, giving pain and
lasting for a short time, this technique ensures the facial tissues to go back to
their original positions in youth as from the bone level. It also ensures the muscles,
fats and other tissues which hung down due to gravity over the years to return to
their positions in youth and ensures a natural face lasting for a long time.
Classic face and neck lift operation
Description: In order to provide a younger appearance, the facial muscles and tissues
are lifted and reshaped; the drooping skin of the face, underside of the cheeks,
the chin’s contour and the neck is covered again to reduce its excess portion; the
drooping fat of the face, underside of the cheeks, the chin’s contour and the neck
is removed; the facial fat is reshaped or reduced, and the muscles in the middle
line of the neck are gathered and tightened.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 5 to 7 days
Period of hospitalization: 1 to 3 days
Duration of the operation: 3 to 6 hours
Anesthesia : General anesthesia
Recuperation period: Patient can go back to work in 10 to 14 days
Frequency of treatment: Once in most of the cases
Risks: Damage to a nerve, hematoma (collection of blood under the skin), asymmetry,
irregular healing of the scar, change to the hairline, anesthesia-based complications.
Permanency of the results: The results will last long (you will look 8 to 10 years
younger than your actual or theoretical twin brother or sister).
Technique employed: The classic face and neck lift operation is performed on the
lower part of the face and on the neck where the endoscopic surgical operation is
not feasible. It is performed in such a manner to hide the scars inside and at the
rear of the ear. We employ the deep plane (subSMAS) face lift operation technique.
It provides more lasting results than the other, more superficial techniques such
as hanging by a cord, stretching the skin, folding the subcutaneous muscle sheath,
etc.
Enlarging the breasts
Description: This surgical operation is performed to enlarge the breasts by inserting
prostheses in them or to correct their symmetry.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 4 to 5 days
Period of hospitalization: 1 or 2 days
Duration of the operation: 1 to 2 hours
Anesthesia: General or local anesthesia + sedatives
Recuperation period: Patient can go back to work in 7 to 14 days
Frequency of treatment: Once in most of the cases
Risks: Infection, asymmetry of breasts or nipples, loss of sensation, irregular
healing of the scar, anesthesia-based compliations, bleeding. Furthermore, the prostheses
can make mammography difficult.
Permanency of the results: The results will last for a long time. In rare cases,
the prostheses need to be replaced. However, the breast tissues might have a negative
impact on the life of the results due to pregnancy, putting on weight and aging.
Prostheses and technique used:
We select the prosthesis and technique suitable for the individual patient. This
operation is performed by entering the underside of the breast and the armpit and
inserting the prostheses there. We do not employ the technique of entering the nipple,
because it might cause loss of sensation or damage the milk tracts.
If a particular patient wants to her breasts to be enlarged by a small rate, without
scar and has a normal bosom, we enter the armpit, insert round prostheses, and inflate
them with serum.
We prefer the anatomic (drop) type of prostheses providing a natural appearance,
and insert them under the muscles after entering the lower curve of the breasts.
This technique and type of prosthesis provide a more natural appearance and results
lasting longer.
However, the type of prosthesis and the technique are selected with reference to
the bosom, skin elasticity and individual demands of each patient.
Abdominoplasty operation
Description: This operation is performed for removing the excess fat and skin to
smoothen and lift the abdomen. It can include lifting of the abdominal muscles.
It can be performed simultaneously with liposuction.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 4 to 5 days
Period of hospitalization: 2 days
Duration of the operation: 2 to 4 hours
Anesthesia: General anesthesia
Recuperation period: Patient can resume his/her social life in a week and go back
to work in two weeks, provided that the patient must avoid heavy exercise for 8
to 12 weeks.
Frequency of treatment: Once in general.
Risks: Bleeding, infection, irregular healing of the scar, healing problems with
the skin, anesthesia-based complications.
Permanency of the results: The results will be permanent, but pregnancy, slimming
down or putting on weight can have a negative impact on them.
Technique employed: Abdominoplasty is performed in any of the two ways described
below. If slight cracks and drooping need to be lifted, a mini abdominoplasty operation
will be performed. In case of serious cracks and drooping, a total abdominoplasty
operation will be performed. We use new abdominoplasty methods at this clinic.
High Lateral Tension Abdominoplasy: This technique ensures the waist curve to be
emphasized, unlike the previous traditional techniques. The abdominal skin is not
lifted in its entirety, only the zone where the abdominal muscles lying along the
middle line will be brought together is cut. Thus the risk of post-operational circulation
problems is avoided. This technique lifts the skin of both the abdomen and the thigh.
Lipoabdominoplasty: This technique combines liposuction and abdominoplasty. A suitable
technique is employed to insert stitches under the skin and to leave a smaller scar.
Its recuperation period is shorter than the traditional abdominoplasty operations.
Liposuction
Description: Local fats accumulated on certain parts of the body, which cannot be
reduced by exercise and diet, are removed to reshape the body.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 3 to 5 days
Period of hospitalization : 0 or 1 day
Duration of the operation: Varies depending on the number of regions to be operated,
amount of the fat to be removed, and the anesthesia method to be employed.
Anesthesia: If the operation is regional, local anesthesia or sedatives are used.
If the operational region is wide and the amount of fat to be removed is much, general
anesthesia is used.
Recuperation period: Patient can go back to work in 5 to 7 days. The healing process
takes 3 to 6 months to finish.
Frequency of treatment: Once. In rare cases, retouch can be needed.
Risks: Bleeding, infection, irregular healing of the scar, irregular appearance,
asymmetry, damage to a nerve, change of color, anesthesia-based complications.
Permanency of the results: Swellings take 6 months to heal. Balanced diet and exercise
are recommended for permanent results. If the patient puts on weight again, the
operated regions will not get fat as they did before the operation, they will get
fat at the same amount as the rest of the body.
Technique employed: We employ the wet superficial liposuction technique. Liquid
medications preventing pain and bleeding are administered in the region to be operated,
and cannulae 2 to 4 mm in diameter are used for sucking the fat from the surface
and the deep. This method of liposuction reduces the risk of irregularity much more
than the other techniques. In fact, it can even solve the problems which might have
arisen from a liposuction operation performed in the past. The amount to be removed
through liposuction with scientific reliability is 5% of the body weight; it can
be maximum 7% of the body weight.
Hair transplantation
Description: This operation is performed by taking hair roots from a donor zone
(the nape in general) and transplanting them on zones of hair loss or balding.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 1 or 2 days
Period of hospitalization: None.
Duration of the operation: Varies depending on the number of hair roots to be transplanted.
If said number is high, more than one operation sessions can be necessary.
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia
Recuperation period: 5 to 7 days (for the edema to heal)
Frequency of treatment: Once in general
Permanency of the results: The results will last long.
Technique employed: We usually employ the FUE (follicular unit extraction) technique
based on collecting the hair roots one by one because of its advantages. Another
technique is FUT (follicular unit transfer) based on collecting hair in the form
of a strip from the nape, but it is rarely used. Transplantation is performed by
micro technique.
Gynecomastia
Description: This operation is performed to solve the overdevelopment of breasts
in males.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 1 to 3 days
Period of hospitalization: 0 or 1 day
Duration of the operation: 1 to 2 hours
Anesthesia: General anesthesia; rarely local anesthesia
Recuperation period: Patient can go back to work in 2 to 3 days.
Frequency of treatment: Once in most of the cases
Risks: Asymmetry of breasts or nipples, loss of sensation, irregular healing of
the scar
Permanency of the results: The results will be permanent
Technique employed: Mostly liposuction; in rare cases surgical operation or combination
of the both techniques.

Protuberant ear (jug-ear) operation
Description: This operation is performed for removing the curves of the ear and
reducing the angle of the ears to the head.
Period of stay in Istanbul: 3 days
Period of hospitalization: None
Duration of the operation: 1 to 2 hours
Anesthesia: Mostly local anesthesia, rarely general anesthesia.
Recuperation period: 3 to 5 days
Frequency of treatment: Once
Risks: Asymmetry, loss of sensation, irregular healing of the scar.
Permanency of the results: The results will be permanent.
Technique employed: The cartilage structure is reshaped through scoring, permanent
stitches are applied to reshape the curve, the angle of the ears to the head is
reduced.
